The Arts

Art

Every student at P.S. 343 enjoys a visit to the Art Studio each week. The art program is aligned with NYC’s Blueprints for the Visual Arts. Every year students are building on skills to reach the second grade and fifth grade benchmarks in the visual arts. Students will explore and develop skills with painting, drawing, printmaking, collage, sculpture and 2-d design.

At the Children’s Lab School, the classroom teachers and art teacher often collaborate on projects making strong connections between art and their world.

My goal is to have all students explore the different media, develop art skills, discover how art is connected to their world, and express their unique perspective as artists.

Please feel free to contact me with any concerns or questions hpylarinos@ps343.org.
